CENSORSHIP - Installation by Rachel Baird The cover of the book is torn off. A line of books tacked up onto a blank wall reveal black lines that blot out all the words on the page - but a few remain uncovered. "Censorship" visually tells the story of how misunderstanding or disagreement with artistic statement can generate fear and beget destruction. Groups have always sought to forcefully expunge what they do not understand or appreciate. Throughout time, artists and writers as visionaries have had to grapple with censorship. However, as history has proved, ideas are indelible.
