Two film screenings, presented in conjunction with the exhibition Performance Now, on view at the Middlebury College Museum of Art. First is Jérôme Bel's Véronique Doisneau (32 minutes, 2009), following a 42-year-old corps de ballet dancer who is soon to retire from the Paris Opéra Ballet. Second is Ryan Trecartin's A Family Finds Entertainment (42 minutes, 2004), the video that brought him to public view: a loose narrative involving a disturbed and disturbing black-toothed kid named Skippy (played by Trecartin.) Sponsored by the Middlebury College Museum of Art.
