Sunday Symphony

Description

Enjoy a delightful Sunday evening at the Vergennes Opera House with a special benefit chamber music concert performed by some of our favorite classical musicians, including performers from the Vermont Symphony Orchestra (VSO). The 7:00pm “Sunday Symphony” show features works by Brahms, Devienne, Glinka, and Mozart. Special concessions for the evening will be provided by the Women of Wisdom. All proceeds from this concert benefit the Friends of the Vergennes Opera House.

Performers from the VSO include flutist Anne Janson, violinist Kathy Andrew, violist Harold Lieberman, and cellist Dieuwke Davydov. They will be appearing with special guest performers pianists Diana Fanning and David Nieweem.

The program features a selection of light and lively chamber pieces from some favorite composers, including Devienne’s Trio for Flute, Viola, and Cello; Mozart’s  Quartet in D Major; Brahms’ Trio in C Major, Op. 87; and Glinka’s Sonata in D Minor.
