Introduction to Maple Sugaring: Trees...

Description

Introduction to Maple Sugaring with Country Forester Mark Raishart- Special workshop led by Vermont Woodlands Association representative Catherine Raishart.

Join MALT, Mark and Catie for a fun afternoon celebrating Vermont traditions.

Gather at Foxglove Farm to discover how maple syrup is made—from start to finish. Learn how to identify the right maple tree, set up your own taps, and understand the basics of sap collection and syrup making. Thanks to the generosity of Bread Loaf View Farm, 20 FREE starter kits will be available to take home for those who want to continue this sweet, time-honored tradition. One starter kit per family while supplies last!

We’ll wrap up with a delicious maple treat around the fire. After the main program, join Vermont Woodlands Association to learn how to make maple butter and stick around to watch the sap being transformed into syrup in the sugarhouse (weather dependent).

CANCELLATION POLICY: MALT operates programs outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. If weather conditions are hazardous (lightning, sustained winds >30m.p.h., sustained heat of 100 degrees or freezing temps), MALT may cancel the program. MALT will communicate about cancellations through our social media channels and email to registered participants.
