This 1960's farce features swinging bachelor Bernard, who has Italian, German, and American fiancees, each beautiful airline hostesses with frequent "layovers." He keeps "one up, one down and one pending" until unexpected schedule changes bring all three to Paris and Bernard's apartment at the same time. This rib-tickling delight is pure comedy, which is why it holds the title of "the most produced French play in the world." Boeing, Boeing is a classic French farce that opened in Paris and then was translated into English and moved to London in 1962, where it ran for seven years. The 2008 Broadway production was a smash hit and won the Tony that year for Best Revival. |

| Herbert Kinobe (pronounced "Chin-O-bay") is a gifted Ugandan multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer known for his inspired synthesis of African roots and global fusion. He has performed all over the African continent and the world, studying and playing with celebrated musicians including Toumani Diabate, Youssou N'dour, Salif Keita, Angelique Kidjo, Oliver Mtukudzi, and Baaba Maal. Kinobe's latest CD Searching for Survival was recorded in Uganda with his band WAMU SPIRIT and released in spring 2013. Kinobe is a World Ambassador for the Harmony Foundation (Canada), supporting their important work on environmental protection and social development, and improving the lives of children and their families around the world. At Middlebury he performs with four musical collaborators in this lead-up event for the upcoming Nile Project. |
