about us
The Addison County Chamber of Commerce draws its strength from the diversity of its members. Our Chamber unites a vast array of small and large companies, not-for-profit organizations and individuals who together create a composite with a single unifying purpose to build a better community through a strong economic base. Addison County is blessed with incredible natural and human resources and a strong economy that is not dependent on a single industry. The community benefits from manufacturing companies, service organizations, agribusiness, retail stores, financial institutions, restaurants, lodging and a variety of small, locally owned businesses that all contribute to the region's economic vitality.
As the area's destination marketing organization, the Addison County Area Guide & Map are the county's primary lure pieces to attract visitors to our region and provide them information on what to see and do and where to stay and eat. The Area Map includes a large-scale roadmap of the county, including popular bicycle routes. Both the Area Guide & Map are full of four-color photography highlighting the region's beautiful scenery.
For businesses, attractions, lodgings, and other destination services, the Guide & Map is the perfect vehicle to cost-effectively advertise. Fifty thousand Area Guides & Maps will be published and distributed during each toursim seasons.
The Area Guide & Map is distributed by the Vermont Department of Travel and Tourism through its 1-800-VERMONT phone number and vermontvacation.com website, travel shows, Vermont Welcome Centers, and other outlets.
The Addison County Chamber also distributes the publication through its website and toll-free number, in response to advertisements, and to high-traffic locations throughout Addison County and other visible areas of Vermont, New York and Vermont Welcome Centers.
