about us

The Bristol Downtown Community Partnership (BDCP), a non-profit 501(c)(3), is a group of area citizens committed to increasing and maintaining the economic vitality of the Bristol downtown business community and to preserve the historic character of the buildings and places. We do this by using a three-pronged approach ? beautification, marketing and economic development. BDCP was created as part of the requirements to become a Vermont Designated Downtown, a status Bristol received in 2006.

We organize family-oriented community events, including this summer's Quadricentennial event ''Bristol's Previously Pocock Street Fair,? our annual ''Cool Yule'' holiday festivities and the ''Maple Magic'' celebration of Spring.

We help businesses maximize their resources to promote their products and services while encouraging visitors to experience the town itself for its special charm, historic ambiance and natural beauty, as well as to shop. This multi-faceted approach is important to bringing economic vitality, and pride and participation in the local community.
