About Us

Founded in 1959 by a small group of concerned local people, the Counseling Service of Addison County has grown from a small mental health counseling service into a comprehensive agency serving adults, families and children. CSAC strives to enhance peoples' quality of life and their ability to function as fully-integrated, productive members of their communities. In addition to its office-based services and mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, psychiatric services, CSAC offers residential supports, employment services, adventure-based children's programs, elder care, alternative education programs, and 24/7 crisis response.

The Counseling Service of Addison County is committed to promoting stable and safe communities by helping people live emotionally healthy and satisfying lives. We strive to provide the best mental health, substance abuse, and developmental services to improve the quality of life for all community members. We work collaboratively with community organizations to help individuals and families achieve maximum wellness.
