Middlebury Volunteer Ambulance Association has provided pre-hospital emergency care to the Middlebury area and throughout Addison County since 1970.
Currently, MVAA serves the towns of Middlebury, East Middlebury, Bridport, Shoreham, Orwell, Ripton, Salisbury, Cornwall, Weybridge, Whiting, and New Haven. MVAA also responds to mutual aid requests from the neighboring towns of Bristol, Brandon, and Vergennes.
MVAA responds to over 1,700 calls each year and operates three fully-equipped ambulances, one paramedic utility vehicle, and one heavy rescue vehicle.
MVAA offers a wide variety of services and provides the highest level of care to approximately 18,000 people within their 370 square miles of service area.
MVAA is able to meet the ever challenging demands of Emergency Services and an evolving population by maintaining a roster of both volunteer and career staff members. Levels of certification range from First Responder to Paramedic.
Middlebury Ambulance is dedicated to providing quality health care and rescue services. MVAA is a licensed Paramedic Level Ambulance Agency by the Vermont State Department of Health and offers Advanced Life Support services 24 hours each day, 365 days per year.
