We offer the following differentials in addition to the hourly rate of pay:

  • Evening $3/hour
  • Night $5/hour
  • Weekend $2/hour (in addition to applicable shift differentials)
Unit Registered Nurse

RNs with at least 1 year of experience are eligible for a sign on bonus of up-to $10,000.

The bonus will be paid out in two installments: the first paycheck and after completion of one year of satisfactory employment.  Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.

Job Summary

The Unit RN performs services requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment and skill for carrying out the nursing regimen in support of medical care, based upon the principles of the biological, physiological, behavioral, and social sciences.

Education
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by The State of Vermont required.
Experience
  • Gerontological nursing and knowledge of supervision techniques preferred.
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Demonstrate competence as a nursing practitioner.
  • BLS certification
Unit Licensed Practical Nurse

The salary range for Unit LPN is Min: $28.71 Max: $42.66

An employment bonus of up to $7,500 is available for an LPN for this role.

Bonus payments are subject to applicable taxes and will be paid out in three installments: after completion of satisfactory probationary period (generally 90 days), after 1 year, and after 2 years of employment.  Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.

Education
  • Current LPN licensure or compact licensure recognized by The State of Vermont required.

  • Gerontological nursing and knowledge of supervision techniques preferred.
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Demonstrate competence as a nursing practitioner.
  • BLS certification
Unit Information 

Otter Creek is a more traditional Long-Term Care unit. Residents of Otter Creek are more cognitively intact but are medically unable to live independently. There are many personalities and activities present, and staff have the opportunity to truly know their residents. Assessing well, understanding residents’ conditions, thinking critically while advocating for providing the best home for residents, and being a person, they trust is essential.

Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
  • Appropriate experience in specific clinical area.  Varies by unit.
