*Marina Office Manager -Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the marina, ensuring all boats are safely docked, and that the marina facilities are properly maintained. They manage marina staff and interact with boat owners and other customers to ensure they are satisfied with the marina’s services. The ideal candidate has a background in marine operations and excellent organizational skills. They should be able to manage a diverse team, ensure safety protocols are followed, and provide excellent customer service.  $21 per hour.

*Dock Hands
 - Assist with daily marina operations, including boat rentals, fueling, and helping slip tenants. Ideal candidates will have a passion for boating, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in an outdoor environment. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for boaters and guests.  $15 per hour.

*Boat Driver - Responsible for operating and maneuvering vessels on waterways, ensuring the safety of our guests on Lake Champlain. Key responsibilities include:  Navigating and operating boats safely, including small pleasure craft and larger group vessels. Maintaining and doing small repairs boats, ensuring they are in good condition for safe operation. Overseeing loading and unloading of passengers and cargo, while adhering to safety regulations. Communicating effectively with passengers and other crew members to ensure a smooth experience. Performing routine maintenance and inspections of the boat, including checking fuel and water levels.  This role may also involve operating sunset cruises and providing commentary during trips.   $18 per hour.

*On-Call Relief Captain - Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the marina and its associated services. Key responsibilities include: Managing the marina: Overseeing the marina's operations, ensuring all services are running efficiently. Customer service: Providing excellent customer service to guests and visitors. Marine operations: Overseeing marine operations, including vessel maintenance and safety.
Emergency response: Being prepared to respond to emergencies and ensure safety. Training and development: Training new staff and ensuring all employees are up-to-date on marina operations. Compliance: Ensuring all operations comply with local regulations and company policies. The On-Call Relief Captain must have a valid marina license, experience in marina operations, and strong leadership skills. They should also be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and be prepared to handle unexpected situations.  $25 per hour.

Requirements

Some essential requirements are:

  • Previous marina, boating, or dockhand experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of boat handling, docking, and safety procedures (training available).
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Boating license or certification.
These roles requires strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as a friendly and engaging demeanor with our guests.

A willingness to learn about or have general knowledge about the local area, landscape, and history. Preferred experience leading, guiding or teaching people of many ages and physical skill levels. Maintain a keen interest in outdoor recreation.
Current CPR and first aid certification preferred. Employees must maintain a clean, well kept, professional appearance. As well, shift work may be long and varied, including evening and weekends, required full-shift walking and standing. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently.

*Recreation and Kids Program Staff-responsible for planning, leading, and supervising age-appropriate activities (sports, crafts, games) while ensuring participant safety, enforcing rules, and providing a positive environment. Duties also include administrative tasks like record-keeping, communication, and facility upkeep and cleaning pre-and post-program. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong customer service mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. $16 - $19 per hour, DOE

*Recreation Activities Lead
-organize and lead guests on guided kayak treks, hikes, bikes and lead other outdoor recreation fun. Rally guests for a game of soccer or kickball, generate excitement about the Pool Party and lead evening programming. Basic knowledge about the outdoors and the local landscape is a plus. Prior experience in recreation team supervision and planning is a plus!  $20 - $25 per hour, DOE

Some essential competencies are:
Understanding the need for proper etiquette and service standards, prior children's programming or camp counselor experience preferred, able to take and give clear direction and work in a team environment, attention to detail, efficient, and able to perform multiple tasks systematically in a fast-paced environment, ability to read and follow safety protocols.

*Tennis Professional-The tennis program operates from early June through Labor Day. Our tennis facilities consist of two Har-Tru courts, three All-Weather courts, and a Pro Shop. Two of the All-Weather courts convert to pickleball use. The Tennis Professional will offer instruction for all aspects of play including lessons and tournaments for all levels and ages. $1100 - $1200 per week salary

*Tennis Instructor
-The tennis program operates from early June through Labor Day. Our tennis facilities consist of two Har-Tru courts, three All-Weather courts, and a Pro Shop. Two of the All-Weather courts convert to pickleball use. The Tennis Professional will offer instruction for all aspects of play including lessons and tournaments for all levels and ages.  $24 - 28 per week salary

Requirements
  • USPTA or PTR certification preferred 
  • Previous teaching experience  
  • Must be highly motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic  
  • Ability to teach tennis and pickleball to a diverse clientele  
  • Evenings and weekends required  
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in a fast paced, dynamic, and sometimes intense work environment
